This is an excellent starting point for those who are interested in stones but are confused by the often conflicting information available. What is the difference between a crystal, a stone and a mineral? What is programming a stone and how do you do it? Why do you need to clear stones and what are the most effective, science based ways to do it? Is a stone's color the source of its energy and does it really tell you where to use it on your body? Does cutting or faceting a stone hurt it or change its energetic properties? Do stones absorb energy? Does mining for crystals hurt the Earth?
